Our Community
Parents from diverse backgrounds, faiths, and family structures are drawn to Calvary for its nurturing, inclusive, child-centered community.
Director Stephanie Rau and her team of teachers relish developing personal relationships with each child and strive to create daily experiences that are responsive to their current interests and learning needs. The Calvary teaching team strives to cultivate consistency, security, and confidence through a combination of loving relationships, structures, and routines.
Calvary’s motto, “kind and caring friends,” is embraced by both children and adults, creating a close-knit community in which lasting friendships emerge and families regularly help each other out day-to-day with after-school activities or childcare, or in times of need.
Calvary offers regular opportunities for families to learn alongside their children, including kids’ cooking, “Mystery Readers,” and Culture Shares. We strongly encourage families to participate in whatever capacity that suits their needs and have a wide range of opportunities to fit a variety of schedules.
